Hello all, due to a minor technical hitch - (namely TELSTRA yet again unable to provide any service at the home of our Web Genie!!) Our classes for February are not yet on the Classes page of the website. We do however, have all pictures of February classes on the gallery, they are the last additions in the Scrapbooking and Card Making Albums. If you aren't on our monthly email listing and don't receive our class list in your inbox, you can collect one from the store or email me at enquiries@picture2page.com.au and I will send you one via email.

Do Crafts - arriving this week!

The Feb/Mar edition of Do Crafts Creativity has arrived in Australia and we are expecting it in store by mid week. It's nice and early this time!!! We have the full range of the Gorgeous Boofle the Dog products and two new capsule collections in Parkstone Pink and Burleigh Blue-papers, ribbons,buttons, bows and die cuts!
This issue also has "the London Look" with lots of UK themed products and other travel themed goodies, including a fantastic Union Flag 12"album. We are also expecting lots of new Nesting Dies and a HUGE box of ribbon rolls in some gorgeous colours, along with some great value Metallic Bitterfly 3D sheets and toppers. This is a huge shipment and one of the largest orders we have done so there will be lots to choose from.
In order to make room for it all, we will be having a January 20-40% off Sale next week clearing lots of end of lines and discontinued products - Come in and grab yourself a bargain!!!!!!!

Polymer Clay Classes

Exciting News!! I know it's not papercraft but it's great to be able to offer something a little different!
We have the Internationally renowned Polymer clay artist - Christi Friesen - coming too teach a series of classes in our store. Check out her website www.cforiginals.net to see some of her fabulous creations.

She will be teaching classes on 28th and 29th March in two sessions per day at
10-1pm and 2-5pm. Classes are $65 each and a materials requirements list will be available shortly.

Hooray - finally the gorgeous twine has arrived from the USA and will be in the store from tomorrow! Lots of gorgeous colours and with a million different uses, you'll wonder how you lived without it! We have all of the colours in a 3 metres skein or you can purchase by the metre.

Welcome back to a whole New year of crafting!!

We are trading under our normal hours once again and have already got more new stock in the shop. We have the new complete range of Kaisercraft's Weave Cardstock range in ALL 70 colours that will match their paper ranges - AT LAST - it's now sooo easy to make cards and layouts - no more struggling to match up colours!

We also have in some great value LED Desk and Floor lamps - low energy, cheap to run and with a much wider working beam - crafting by night has never been so good! If you got a voucher for Xmas - these are a great way to spend it!
New Sizzix Textured Impression Twin pack embossing folders are now also in store - I love the Peacock and leaves Design,(pictured $14.99) also in are new small alphabet strips - great for cards.
The rest of our wholesalers are starting to reopen from next week so we will get shopping once again for more fab stuff to play with! Classes will resume in February once our cherubs are all safely tucked up in the educational institution of our choice :))

Do Crafts Creativity magazine and selected products arrived today!! This is a much smaller edition of products as Do Crafts were unable to supply us with some lines. We do have a long-awaited range of card, topper and sentiments mix n match sets all with glittered and foiled Tattered Teddy Designs. (I want them all!)We have the latest Forever Friends Decoupage pack, along with a Tattered Teddy design. We have an absolutely stunning range of storage - with new Trolleys and Tote bags in black with a wine coloured dot print, we also have some fab floral X-Cut dies, magnetic shims for use in your Cuttlebug and Big Shots - great for holding those dies in place, and a new line in clear dimensional glues. Finally, we have a few of the Ultimate Quilling Gift Sets - great for Xmas pressies. The magazine itself has a fantastic Tattered Teddy Stamp set FREE with this issue too!

Also new is a fantastic range of great quality Glitter Paper in a rainbow of colours. This stuff goes great through the Cuttlebug or Sizzix and large punches. It is paper not card, and the glitter doesn't fall off when you touch it. A great price too - only $2.20 per 12x12 sheet.

Hello, we have had an avalanche of new deliveries today, including 2 brand new ranges from Kaisercraft including the long awaited Vintage range "Velvet Ensemble" which has a trillion uses!! The range also includes new rub ons and chipboard and a great set of stamps (I love the vintage gramophone image). This range will make great layouts, cards and home decor items.

Do Crafts Now In Store!

DO CRAFTS ISSUE 25 NOW IN STORE

Yes, it finally arrived late this afternoon! We only have a dozen spare mags so if you would like one, please be quick! If you have a subscription, please could you collect it before the end of February if possible.
This is a fairly small edition this time and we have very limited stocks and it won't last long!!

A few extra products will be in next week but we have lots of Cupcake papers, decoupage, embossing folders and some great mini stamps as well as the standard A5 sheets of stamps.

We also have a beautiful range of floral papers with matching embellishments and some great bird and tree sets of stamps and papers, along with the cute Country Companions range of hedgehogs and mice papers, decoupage and stamps. We have some mini stamp sets of tiny flowers and leaves - great for cards and in sets of 6.

The fabulous free gift on the front of the magazine is a mini embossing folder and a set of cupcake stamps.

Charity Garage Sale - Ever thought you have too much stuff lying around your craft room? Well now is the time to put it to some really good use!!!!
We are raising money to help people affected by the recent flooding in Queensland and Victoria by having a Garage Sale. Here's how you can help (and have a clearout at the same time and get some new stash!!)

From now until 28th January, bag up all of your unwanted stash/products/paper/tools etc into clear bags (we have some if you need them) and bring it into the store. Give us your name and telephone number and tell us how much you are selling your bags for (they can all be priced individually if you have several).
These will all be put up for Sale in our store from 29th January until 5th February.
50% of the proceeds will go to the Flood Relief effort and you get the other 50% back in a gift voucher to spend in the store!!
If you want to simply donate items to the Sale - these are most welcome too.
All people donating items will be entered into a draw for free prizes from us!!!!

Hello, and a Happy New year to everyone!
We have lots to look forward to in 2011 with lots of lovely new stock on it's way, new opening hours, an online shopping cart on the website (in progress) and five 'From Picture to Page' shows throughout Victoria - busy busy busy!!
In amongst all of this chaos, we are re-organising our class scheduling to include more evening and weekend classes, with lots more scrapbooking and 'off the page' projects as well as new designs for cards and some regular beginner card and layout classes with Rosemary.
We also welcome on board Kristy - a very talented lady (who is the glitter fairy in disguise me thinks!!) and a very clever scrapper.
Classes will resume in earnest in February, although we do have a few classes for January which will be posted on the web early next week including some kids classes to keep your crafty offspring occupied once they get bored with their christmas pressies!
We apologise for the late organisation of January classes as both Karen and myself are slightly indesposed at present - Karen has recently had a knee operation and is still not fully recovered and I have completely wrecked my knee and am having a reconstruction due to a sporting injury! (Note to self - stop messing about on trampolines with eleven year olds!) We are both hobbling around in the shop so please bear with us.
Exciting Stock news!!! We now stock Gorjuss Girls and Sugar Nellie Stamps - direct from the UK. We have a few designs in store and have the next shipment arriving shortly, those along with the Magnolia Designs and the CC Designs make the store a Copic Addicts Haven!!!! Lots of things to colour in. Look out for Rosemary's Copic 102 class in February along with a re-run of the Copic 101 class to learn lots of tips and techniques to get the most from your pens. We also have 36 new colours in the ciao range coming soon.
New albums - we now have a FANTASTIC brand new range of albums from W.A. in the store. We have stitched box style albums for Wedding/Babies etc and some gorgeous tooled leather albums great for Family History or Male Albums along with a few other designs. These are gorgeous - I couldn't help myself and bought loads!
Also in is a brand new range of foiled and glittered papers (12") with an all over design so it is great for cards and invitations as well as for fabulous wedding/dance/prom style layouts too. Come down and check it all out - we re-open on Tuesday 3rd January when our trading hours then return to normal after the christmas break.

The free gift this issue is a clear stamp of the cutest Woodland Creatures. These are great for colouring in and the matching paper packs, dies, decoupage, stickers and chipboard were selling straight out of the boxes yesterday, before we even got them on the shelves!

Also in are the latest Foiled Oriental papers, stickers, stamps and embellishments in really modern japanese prints. The mag has some great ideas on how to use this bounty!

We also have a HUGE dumpbin FULL of new designs of wooden stamps with some fantastic designs and phrases on them - a bargain at just $3 each. These would make great stocking fillers or Kris Kringle gifts for your crafty friends.

Forever Friends Christmas

I decided to get a head start on my Christmas cards with the new Forever Friends stamps that arrived this week...who knows maybe I'll actually send them out this year!

This is a really quick card and a great stamp if you're new to colouring with Copics as it has large areas to blend. The bear itself is super easy to colour and I've used three different browns - E50, E51 & E53 with a little E40 for his nose.

I've used some Kaiser paper that I had left from last year and mounted the present with foam to make it pop out a little and added some clear Copic Spica to make it bling! I've also coloured some white Kaiser pearls with my Copics to match.

Tilda's in the house!

Hi everyone
I got a bit excited a couple of weeks ago when Karen told me she had ordered some Magnolia Stamps from Sweden. This gorgeous range of stamps feature Tilda and Edwin and there's so many to choose from! I've been wanting to get some for a while and when they arrived in store I couldn't resist, so now I have a few too many LOL!

As well as the stamps there's also a magazine (which you can grab in store now) with heaps of amazing cards and tutorials.

So here's what I've been up to with my new stamps...

The images are coloured with Copics and in the second card Tilda is sitting on the CC Designs bench stamp. The papers and embellishments can also be found in store. If you'd like to see more samples we've added some more pics to the gallery on the website, which you view here.

As well as my new Tilda stamps I may have snapped up some of the new Forever Friends clear Christmas stamps (they were a bargain, how could I resist!) So make sure you check back soon for some Forever Friends creations.

New Stuff

It's very pretty in our store this week - we have just received an avalanche of new flowers and leaves along with gold and silver wide mesh ribbon and lots more 'pretty stuff'!! We have the ever popular paper rosebuds in lots of colours, along with new maple, fern and rose leaves. Great for those cardmakers out there as well as for modern invitations and vintage layouts and the white ones are great to colour in with copics! We have the two new Kaiser christmas ranges now in stock including great acrylic stamp sets, 6" paper pads and embellishments and die cuts - time to start on those christmas cards girls!!! New Martha Stewart Punches and Competition Update!

Yes - I know the photo isn't great but my battery was running out - sorry!! But the stuff is still great!!! We have had delivered today, a HUGE box of Martha Stewart punches direct from the US - cheaper than Spotlight - hooray!!!!!! Lots of the new stamp and punch designs (yes, you stamp the images and then punch them out , fab idea!) Border and corner sets - so you can get the design around the complete page or card, jumbo deep edge punches in the most gorgeous designs - I want ALL of them!! Also in are the large lace heart, the Monarch Butterfly, the Cosmos and Cornflower designs as well as the trellis design border punch that is so 'IN' right now! Also a punch to make your own photos corners (at last)We had a delivery of these last Friday, took them to the paper show and sold them all in 2 hours so these are HOT property, get in quick! Also arrived are the Martha Stewart Scoreboards - I am so upset as I have just bought a fab Scor-pal but these are the BEST boards I've ever seen! They come complete with a handy envelope template to use along with the board which slips into a little pocket underneath for safe storage and a flip up sizing guide with all your measurements on it for the most commonly used projects. You also store the scoring tool in this are too -LOVE IT!!!
We've only got the three so if you were thinking about buying a score board - now is the time to act on that thought:)
DO - CRAFTS - The Do-Crafts stuff has been paid for and is on its way - it should be here before Thursday. All of you with a magazine subscription will be telephoned as soon as it hits our doors. We have pre-ordered the Forever Friends range of Wooden stamps (no acrylic ones in Oz as yet - sorry) but you will love the designs of these limited edition stamps. We have pre-ordered extra just so we don't miss out but once they are gone - they are gone. Due in end of June.

Hello, finally, we have received the latest set of FANTASTIC value stamps from CC Designs, including Gingersnaps designs and the ever fabulous Kiki La Rue and Nurse Nora.

If you are a Copic fan - these are the BEST stamps for colouring in - lots of large areas for blending and shading.

May Competition

Hello, as promised (and only a day late - sorry) here are the rules for our May competition;
All entries are free, enter as many times as you like.
Competition is for a single 12x12 layout made using only products from our store.
Entries must be returned by May 31st for display until 30th June.
All entries will be posted on our gallery - please advise us at time of entry if you do not wish your layout to be posted.
Layouts will be displayed in the store for customer voting.
Along with the customer vote, each entry will be independantly judged by four judges and all points will be collated to decide the overall winner.
Points will be awarded for photography, creative use of product, techniques and journalling.
(please note that you cannot vote for yourself during this competition.)
All entries may be collected from the store after competition closes.

First Prize is $50 gift voucher for the store and second and third prizes will be awarded in goody bags. All winners will be notified by phone and results posted on this blog.

Just a short note to let everyone know that we now have the latest do-crafts magazine now in stock and also the latest batch of related stock! Sizzix is back!!!!!!!!

Hello, if you weren't excited enough about the Copic Ciao markers - I have more mind blowing news!!!!?? Sizzix has found a new home in Australia at last and we have pre-ordered their fabulous new product called the Texture Boutique machine and lots of new embossing folder designs - including Christmas patterns and sentiments!! They will retail for around $75 and are shaped like a handbag (so cute!!) and are great for people like me who only use their Cuttlebug for embossing. We are expecting the first deliveries to be in store in about 10 days. Get one on your wish list for Christmas now - at a bargain price for a great little must-have machine and the embossing packs are also great value at around $20-$30 for a multi pack of folders in a single theme (i.e. Birthday, Christmas , Baby etc). I LOVE new stuff - wish I had time to play with it all? Don't forget to enter into our Layout Competition on this blog for November (see further down this page) - I'm even going to attempt it myself at some point this week (Don't hold your breath though - you may well faint). The Copics are Here!

Hi everyone

I'm Kirsty, normally the one working behind the scenes on the website, not out in front but I just had to share my excitement about the arrival of the Copic Ciao markers at Picture2Page.

From someone who has spent many hours hunting all around Melbourne (and harassing Maxine) for these lovely markers I can tell you that Picture2Page is the only scrapbooking store in the eastern suburbs to stock these fantastic markers.

So what's so good about them you ask? They are brilliant for colouring and produce rich vibrant colours that blend beautifully to make your stamped image pop of the page. Copic markers are alcohol based, permanent makers used by illustrators, designers, artists and craft enthusiasts around the world.

There are a few tricks you need to know so check back soon for details on how you can learn to use these amazing markers. In the meantime, I've posted a couple of cards below where I've used copic markers.

Mel's {October/November Challenge} - CELEBRATE

Hi Everyone!
We have extended OCTOBERS challenge! and so since it WAS my BIRTHDAY month! How's about a funky & fun 12x12 sketch for all of you to indulge in!
Whats that? OH GOOD I knew you would be thrilled!
So here are the goods ...

{Rules}

1. You must use the word "CELEBRATE" in your layout.
It doesn't matter who, what or where you are celebrating, just get the word on there!

2. Divide your page into squares by either doing it with paper, patterns, photo's etc
There is no limit to how many squares but lets see a little creativity with this!

3. Must have journaling and tell us what you are celebrating!!!

Now you can use as many or as little photos as you like, but at least have ONE! These can be any sizes also! So go get your scrap boogy on and don't forget to either leave a comment on this post with a link to where your goods are OR e-mail us so we can show the world!!

Remember there will be a WINNER and Prizes!
All entries MUST be in by the 30th November !!!

Hello, thanks to everyone who visited us at the 'From Picture to Page Show' at Burwood in September. It was a great event and we met loads of lovely people - lots of regulars to our store and a few new ones too!!!!!!!! We will be next exhibiting in Geelong at the Town Hall on 13th and 14th March - the first event for the show organisers on the other side of town. The "From Picture2Page Shows" are always about papercrafters - no sewing or beading or quilting - just paper and stuff!! Hello - I have some BIG news (well it's big for me anyway!) On Thursday, we managed to secure a precious pre-order for the entire range of Copic Ciao markers!! These things are like hens teeth in Australia and the US demand is outstripping supply - so after ourselves and a few Queenslanders bending a reps ear - they've decided to bring the full range in for all the Aussie papercrafters out there - directly from Japan! Hooray!!! (Sad I know, but it doesn't take much to make me happy these days - every day I breathe is a bonus). The marvel of these fabulous things is that they are a permanent, refillable pen which stampers adore and they have replaceable nibs. Whereas other markers go muddy when you layer the colours - these don't! You can colour a yellow over a red and the yellow stays prevalent. Love it!!! We are expecting shipment around October and we have the whole 144 colours on their way. Web-Genie Kirsty is already organising a great class to show you what these babies can do - can't wait! She's now known as Web-Genie Copic Queen Kirsty!! Talk soon, love Max.

New Stuff!!

Hello, sorry it's been a while but we've been remarkably busy!!! Where are all the card challenge entries?? It's easy and you've gotta be in it to win it - we're giving away FREE stuff for the winner. You can send me an e-mail and vote for your favourites !! It's too hard for us to choose the winner!

All the new stock we ordered has all come in at once!! I've been online tonight buying new shop fittings to hang it all up on - we've run out of room again. A few new items we have include a new range of Thickers - including the new puffy vinyl and the glittered lullaby range, the BRAND NEW Cuttlebug embossing folders and cut and emboss kits, Websters Pages papers, more photo storage boxes, 12" magazine files and more albums, a new range of Reminisce papers in usable designs with card stock stickers to match and a huge range of over 30 papers that came in today but I forgot my camera this morning so I'll have to load those up at the weekend.I've been trying to upload some pictures tonight but my computer is going backwards so I'll try again tomorrow - they are all in the new products section of the gallery so please take a look!

The September classes will all be loaded up soon and we have so many new classes - it's not funny!! We've organised the school holiday classes already with 4 fab projects to keep your crafting proteges out of trouble and they are CHEAP entertainment at around $15 per session.

I'm going to give up now and start sewing - I have 21 outfits for my 6 year old's school concert to make - they are doing the "One Horned, One Eyed Purple Flying People Eater or something like that?????????" My creative brain has been mildly tested to explosion point on that one - if anyone has ANY idea what one looks like - could they please let me know? My 9 year old and her mates have decided to put on a pre-concert entertainment package and want to gyrate around the stage to "Whats new Pussycat" by Tom Jones so no doubt I will be running up a few cats costumes too in my spare(!!) time - the concert is on 1st September HELP ME - Maxine.

and here is my take on the sketch...I used: 3 bugs In a Rug paper, Kaiser Rub ons, rik rak, Bazzill cardstock, brads, Glitter, Kaiser paper flowers and Green Tara string.

So it's winter, and I don't know about you but I'm freezing my butt off! So I thought we needed a little cheering up with some bright warm colours! RED/PINK & GREEN are looking good!
Here is a photo of some watermelon BEFORE my kids devoured it! I thought what a great natural combo of colours we had in just a piece of fruit!

Hello, just thought I'd share my latest creations with you. I advertised a Black and Red card class on this month's class list with the ideas in my head but once I committed it to print - I had to make them!! The massive clear out of my office last week prompted me to take a second look at some old (and I mean OLD) magazines and surprise surprise - my head is now full of reinvented ideas!! I'm using napkins and the ever faithful Mod Podge for one of these cards this month as I loved the colours and it was one of the ideas in a mag - circa 2004! I also used the new range of Leone-Em jumbo punches we got in last week. The foliage punches are a great size for cardmaking! I also came across another idea for a vintage layout using corrugated card and packing tape ("back to basics" scrapping I'd call it!) Give me a few days to perfect the technique and I'll post it here! Bye for now - Maxine.

Hello everyone! I finally got some very helpful advice on writing a blog!! Not that I EVER run out of things to say of course! I just have a bit of trouble with anything attached to a power point!

The kids are back at school (I can hear you collectively cheering) and my brain has stopped spinning so I am going to start 'blogging'. If I run into any problems - I have my primary aged children to assist me - I now realise why I had them - fabulous computer skills!

Welcome to the new revamped Picture2Page website. It is still a work in progress and we will be adding to it frequently. One of our newest ideas is to add a public gallery so you will be able to post your latest creations onto our site through google. This is a great way to show off all your hard work and creativity and it is fabulous to see what you actually DO with all the stuff you buy from us as we don't often get to see the finished product. The gallery will be open for uploads soon!!!

We have secured some fabulous new teachers in addition to our already creative team and we have lots of new classes on during July and August. New from the UK is Debbie who has some great classes lined up in Iris Folding and Tea Bag folding along with lots of other great ideas - we are going to keep her very busy!!! As we are now open until 9pm on Thursday evenings, we have scheduled some evening classes for Thursdays. Check the 'Classes and Crops' page for times and prices.

Karen and I have been busy shopping and we have lots of new product in in the store. We have added new items to ALL of our lines, from stickers, paper, card and chipboard, to stamps, rubons, storage and albums. We've run out of room (again). The shop is chock a block with NEW STUFF.

Hi there paper enthusiasts!! Welcome to the Picture2Page blog.
This is Carolyn here with what looks like the first ever blog post. I hope Maxine knew what she was doing when she gave me the blog passwords. He he he!!

We are looking forward to keeping you updated with store news and scrapbooking tips. I thought I would upload what I have been working on recently and hopefully inspire you in some way.

This page uses the Basic Grey Lime Rickey collection. If you find it a bit bright and are worried about losing your photos in the patterns, try turning your photos to black and white. Your photo will stand out and the bright papers will give your page a bright happy feel.

This year, I have become the queen of scraps. Like many of you I have a large collection of patterned paper at home and I am trying really hard to use up some of the old collections. Don't forget that in a few years when people flick through your scrapbooks, you are the only one who might think 'oh look! she used old paper!!'.

So go down to the store, check out the bargain box of paper, which is constantly being updated to make way for new papers and see what you can come up with. This layout of my son used some old Basic Grey and my sewing machine.
